Each year we have our Annual Day Trip and this year it was a visit to Wicklow Gaol and Museum. Friday 8th June we took a coach from KLEAR to Wicklow Town and had elevenses at the restaurant attached to the museum.

Our research work for NALA this year was about privacy with regard to people’s personal information (Data Protection), after we finished eating at the restaurant tables, with the help of tutors and a ‘Prompt Sheet’. Next we were met by a ‘Jailer’ or a ‘Prisoner’ to welcome us to the jail and then we started our tour.

This was followed by lunch, at the same restaurant and then we returned to the coach to travel back to Kilbarrack. The payment was €10 which was possible as our trip was supported financially by CDETB, KLEAR and NALA.
