I came back to do my Leaving because I left school at 14 and always wanted to come back to education, and I have a great teacher called Geraldine who makes learning interesting and fun.

For a long time I had thought of coming back to further my education.  What stopped me was lack of confidence, no self-esteem. When it came to signing forms or even reading out something, especially when I was getting my eyes tested, I was always afraid.

I decided to take the chance and go down to Klear.  It was the best step I have ever taken. I started English, Spanish and computers. My confidence and self-esteem have started to come back.  I have met lots of people and I enjoy it very much. I also plan to go and do my Leaving Cert and maybe further.

I came back to KLEAR college to do basic computers.  I felt the computer world had completely passed me by and I needed to catch up to make my life easier in this computerised world.

I was ready to come back to adult education because my children are older and I have a bit more time for myself.  I think it’s great getting back mixing with people and the courses are great. They get you back thinking again and give you a bit more confidence.  My children see me going back to adult education and I think they look up to me more.

Going back to education has built my confidence. Working in a relaxed, comfortable situation is great and I am delighted with my achievements. 

When it was time for me to finish up work, I had a lot of free time on my hands. A friend of mine who was in KLEAR suggested I might like to try a course. As I had left school very early, it was something I had always wanted to do.  Returning to education has brought new challenges to me. I have many new friends and my goal now is to get my Leaving Cert. English, something I hope to do well in, thanks to KLEAR.

I am taking this opportunity to polish my English. I have a difficulty with spelling and accent because my native language is French.  I also find it hard to pronounce words in English. I have joined KLEAR beginning of this year, my English has improved and I am very grateful.

I’m going back to education because I need to improve my ability to understand and speak English.  With all things that I have to do at home, there is no chance to learn anything. It’s good to have the crèche where to leave the toddler.  It’s good for her to socialise there with the other children and good for me to mix with Irish people.

I want to thank Aileen and the girls at KLEAR as my son is graduating this year and has loved his time there at KLEAR.

My daughter attended KLEAR and she loved it.  My daughter had great fun and enjoyed learning at KLEAR.

My two children have attended crèche and ECCE at KLEAR and I would highly recommend it.
